Russell Crowe bound for Chicago - 24/07/01 |
 |
Gladiator star and ladies man Russell Crowe is being
touted for the movie version of the West End play Chicago,
playing the part of Billy Flynn. Traffic star Catherine Zeta
Douglas is in the running for the part of Velma Kelly, with Gwyneth
Paltrow rumoured as the other female lead, Roxie Hart. Crowe
and Zeta Douglas are no strangers to singing. Crowe fronts the amusingly-monickered
rockers 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, while the latter enjoyed a brief
fling in a girl band in the early 90s.

Aldo Zilli party 06/05/01 |
 |
Yesterday was an eventful day; I spent most of it
in the company of celebrity chef Aldo Zilli. Early that morning
myself and the restaurant editor for MyVillage, Michelle, headed
to Soho to interview the man. Whilst she was interviewing him, I
was busy staring at all the framed pictures he had hanging on the
walls, which were of himself and the various celebrities he has
befriended in his restaurants - the list was impressive.

Missy
Elliot Party 01/06/01 |
 |
I am
feeling the worse for wear after crawling back to my flat in the
early hours. Last night I was partying in Zen Gardens where Missy
Elliot was hosting the after party for her Brixton Academy gig.
The
US bad girl of hip-hop had played a one-off gig after which we all
headed down to the West End venue, where blazing hip-hop and R &
B was being played. The drinks were flowing, American sexy R & B
boys 112 were also in the place, popping the Chrystal champagne
in the VIP area, which of course was where I was. I also spotted
the Honeyz and MTV’s Jasmine Dotiwala enjoying the party. I was
surprised to see the Sugarbabes there, who I’m sure are all under
the age of 16, smoking - naughty!
Jordan
managed to get her big bust in, and was dancing like crazy. That
was not my only stop of the night, as I later headed down to Hanover
Grand to see Omar do a PA, which was cool, but by this stage of
the night I was finding it difficult to walk in my new stilettos.
My girlfriends were also the worse for wear, but hot foot as we
are, again we were the last to leave. And again like any other night
out, I’m paying for it the next day. Where are the Alka-Seltzers?
